THE IMMIGRATION VIRTUAL LAW OFFICE
The Immigration Virtual Law Office
Many of the Sheri Hoidra Law Office, LLC's immigration clients will not require or even be able to take a trip to the "Brick and Mortar" office to accomplish their goals. Thankfully, everything they need can be obtained completely online in a secure and confidential manner. Saving time, gas, and energy.
What is a Virtual Law Office?
A virtual law office is an internet based medium for attorneys and clients who wish to communicate in a virtual space, directly through a secure portal, rather than meeting in person. Since it is online, overhead costs are reduced, making the legal services much more affordable. Regardless of the time of day, or where you are in the world, you can register on the virtual law office site, and be securely tapped in to an online database where you can communicate with Sheri and get the legal documents you need.
How does a Virtual Law Office work?
Since the Sheri Hoidra Law Office, LLC, is not solely web-based, you have a couple options. You can either:
1.) Register here for the Virtual Law Office, and work with Sheri exclusively online. Once Sheri is notified that you registered for the Virtual Law Office, she will contact you within 24 hours to set up an initial consultation, where she will learn more about your immigration needs. After she sends you the retainer agreement and the intake form and you sign and complete through the online portal, Sheri will be in constant communication with you to update you on your document preparation. You can access your documents 24/7 through your computer and your smart phone. Asking questions and uploading documents is extremely easy through the portal. There is also an option to Skype with Sheri if you ever want to have a face-to-face conversation. Then at the conclusion of your document preparation, you can download the documents through the portal and pay your final bill online, without ever having to step foot in the office.
2.) Register here for the Virtual Law Office, and work with Sheri on a ½ online, ½ in-person basis. The only difference between the first option and this option is that your initial consultation with Sheri is in-person at her office. Then after the initial meeting, Sheri will keep in contact with you through the portal and upload your documents onto the portal for review. You can ask questions online if you wish, or if you would rather visit the office, Sheri is available from 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday to meet with you. If you have trouble getting to the office though, you can still access your legal documents online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Immigration can be sensitive in nature. How do I know my documents will be secure?
Sheri uses "Total Attorneys" which is software made exactly for the purpose of exchanging sensitive legal documents online. It has a level of security akin to that of banks and the government. No one but you and Sheri will be able to access the documents in your online account. It is encrypted, unlike email, meaning that if you send Sheri messages through the portal, or send documents through the portal, a secure HTTP will protect the information. Any and all documents are also backed up on the server, significantly reducing the risk of loss unlike regular email or even a physical file.
What types of immigration documents can you prepare purely online?
Click here for a list of the services the Sheri Hoidra Law Office, LLC, provides, the fee associated with these services, and what the fee covers. This list is not exhaustive, so if you do not see the services you need listed, please contact (link) Sheri for a free consultation.
All of these services can be provided without meeting in person, unless it is a required in-person interview with the USCIS, a Master Calendar Hearing at the Baltimore Immigration Court, or a Merits Hearing at the Baltimore Immigration Court. Also, preparation for an interview may require downloading Skype onto your computer.
How much do you charge for preparation of these documents?
Sheri does not believe in hourly rates for cases. All cases are charged a flat-fee rate, no matter if you do the completely online option, or the hybrid ½ online, ½ in-person option. You will be in control of your legal fees, because you will know what Sheri's fees are before she even begins working on your case.
